Google tag and Google Ads conversion tracking
Add a native Google tracking integration for websites, landing pages and quizzes published through Broker Closer. The current Google terminology is Google tag, with Google Ads conversion tracking for measuring actions generated by ads. Planned scope: • Let each broker configure the correct Google tag and Google Ads conversion actions for their published sites, including an optional Google Analytics 4 destination when used. Support an existing Google Tag Manager setup without installing the same tracking twice. • Track agreed website events such as successful enquiry/form submissions and completed quizzes. Map each action to the correct Google Ads conversion ID and label. Trigger lead conversions after successful submission, rather than merely when someone clicks the submit button. • Preserve available Google ad-click attribution information through the supported page/form journey. Handle published custom domains and cross-domain journeys where applicable. • Provide per-site enable/disable controls, connection/setup guidance and testing with Google Tag Assistant. Exclude editor previews, test submissions and activity inside the private CRM from marketing conversion tracking. • Respect visitor consent and support Google's consent signalling. Define the permitted event fields and avoid duplicate conversion counting where direct Google Ads tags and imported Analytics events describe the same action. Success criteria: A test enquiry or quiz completion on a configured published site records the intended conversion once, against the correct Google Ads conversion action, and can be verified with Google's tracking diagnostics.
